The Peace and Sport Regional Forum will take place in the island of Rhodes, Greece.
Delegates need to flight to the Rhodes International Airport “Diagoras” or Diagoras International Airport (RHO) which is located on the West side of the island of Rhodes.
Round trip transfers is organized by Peace and Sport for all attendees between 17th and 19th October 2018.
The working languages of the event will be English and Greek. Simultaneous interpreting will be carried out in these two languages only, and this service will only be provided during the opening ceremony, plenary sessions, plus Peace and Sport Awards.
During the side events, round tables and networking sessions, a limited number of bilingual volunteers will provide translation support where needed.
All participants must have a valid passport. To ensure a smooth trip to the Peace and Sport Regional Forum, we strongly recommend processing the visa application one month before departure from the country of origin. To come in Greece, participants must have a valid visa.
In case you need it, we provide attendees with an invitation letter for short term visa. Visa fees are the responsibility of participants.

Peace and Sport and the Region of South Aegean of Greece are delighted to welcome you to the 2018 Peace and Sport Regional Forum which will take place on the island of Rhodes on 18 October.
Following the success of the 10th Peace and Sport International Forum in 2017, the 2018 Regional Forum will convene 350 major decision-makers from across the Mediterranean region to address the following theme: “Societies in motion: rising up through sport”.
In the symbolic venue of Greece – the cradle of Olympism and a pivotal crossroads between three continents, this event will bring together regional leaders including Heads of State and Ministers, sport governing bodies, high-level athletes, international organizations, NGOs and Academia, alongside Champions for Peace to focus on regionally-based initiatives and peer learning, with the objective of sharing best practices and identifying major regional and sub-regional trends to trigger new thinking for long-term effect in the wider world.
In this respect, the Rhodes 2018 Peace and Sport Regional Forum will enable building synergies and partnerships and promoting policy dialogue to maximize the use sport for positive change.
