Peace and Sport announces three new Champions for Peace

Jul 17, 2016 | News

‘Peace and Sport, L’Organisation pour la Paix par le Sport’ launched the Champions for Peace club in 2009 in order to offer athletes a shared structure for action and expression to promote sports projects at the service of peace and so increase the impact of their engagement.

“Sports men and women are the best ambassadors to transmit the culture and values of sport. The Champions for Peace club distinguishes these outstanding champions who rally around one shared objective: peace building. It’s with great pride that our organization motivates this group of athletes who on a daily basis engage to help the peace through sport movement” said Joel Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport.

A source of inspiration and motivation for young generations, Champions for Peace show that sport goes well beyond performance to play a genuine role at the service of society. The organization is proud to welcome three new Champions for Peace:
