PEACE AND SPORT RELEASES ITS 2019 ANNUAL REPORT!

Peace and Sport is proud to present its 2019 annual report, built around the four key pillars of the organization : Mobilizing, Connecting, Demonstrating, and Advocating. This report gathers Peace and Sport’s concrete accomplishments to build peaceful, inclusive and equitable societies through sport, and sheds light on the diversity of our activities and on our new partnerships.

Joël Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport declared:

“As an international and neutral organization based in the Principality of Monaco, Peace and Sport has been committed to driving peace and positive social change through sport for the past twelve years. (…) None of our initiatives would have been possible without the engagement of our 118 Champions for Peace. We celebrated in 2019 their Club’s 10th anniversary and their efforts to transform societies and to leave a sustainable legacy for generations to come.”

Peace and Sport acts in close collaboration with reference international organizations,  with more than 50 International Sports Federations and other institutional sports bodies, with civil-society actors, and with governments. The organization is a Permanent Consultative Member of CIGEPS in UNESCO and participates in the EPAS Consultative Committee within the Council of Europe.

2019 is a pivotal year for Peace and Sport as several of our programs, including the innovative Peace and Sport x MyCoach mobile application, have been officially supported by the United Nations Secretary-General in his last report devoted to the contribution of sport to the 2030 Agenda. For the upcoming year, social business, the digitalisation of tools used by stakeholders in the field, the impact assessment (M&E) and the commitment of the athletes will be at the center of our actions.
