Our Champion for Peace

I’ll always remember my visit to Haiti in 2010 with Peace and Sport. In this shattered country, sport helped various children retain hope for a fairer and more respectful society.

World Champion in 1998, winner of the Euro 2000, and winner of the Champions League, Christian Karembeu has an outstanding track record.
Very active since his retirement, he promotes football in Oceania and was quick to visit Haiti shortly after the terrible earthquakes in 2010.

53 International caps for France
World Champion - 1998
European Champion - 2000

Peace and Sport celebrates the international day of sport for development and peace in the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan.

Peace and Sport – the politically-neutral organization which promotes sport as a tool for peace – was at Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan to celebrate “APRIL6”, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. In association with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Jordanian National Olympic Committee (NOC), Peace and Sport organized many sports and cultural activities for young refugees which were led by Champions For Peace.
