Our Champion for Peace

SAMANTHA MURRAY

As sporting roles models, we aim to inspire and educate the world that peace is the most valuable choice for our planet and our people. Sport has the power to transend barriers and unify people regardless of race, culture, nationality or gender. As a Champion for Peace, my objective is to raise awareness of our plight for peace.

Samantha Murray is an English modern pentathlete with one of the finest track records in this sport. Champion of the world and Europe in the junior team in 2010, she continued her ascent to win the World Cup.
Samantha is aware of the opportunity she has received and wants to give back to society what she received. So in 2012 she got involved with “Cash for Kids”, a charity which helps children with disabilities and disadvantaged youngsters in the United Kingdom.
Samantha Murray became a Champion for Peace in order to continue promoting sport and its values, as she did when she visited the Za’atari camp in Jordan, meeting young Syrian refugees.
