Medallist in badminton at the Pan-American Games, Pedro Yang joined the IOC Athletes Commission in 2008. Very involved in action on the ground, Pedro has visited several field projects to talk to young people about the power of sport

The Guatemala National Olympic Committee organizes for the second time in Latino America from the 5th to 6th April the Second Forum for the Americas: Sport for Development and Peace devoted to the promotion of sport for social transformation.

This event will sensitize participants about the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. During the session: “Peace and Development: uniting efforts” Peace and Sport will moderate a discussion with Ministers. Additionally, through the participation of the Champion for Peace, Pedro Yang and a Sport Simple Workshop, Peace and Sport will promote the use of sport for social cohesion and inclusion in Latino America.
