Following the signage of the MOU between the World Taekwondo Federation and Peace and Sport during the 9th Peace and Sport International Forum last November, the cooperation between the two organisations started. WTF is the first International Federation that officially added the Podium White Card at the Award Ceremony Protocol of the Grand Prix Final on 9-10 December and the Team World Championships 12-13 December, both organized in Baku Azerbaijan.
The international Taekwondo elite athletes are doing #whitecard showing their belief that Peace can be achieved through sports! The WTF plans to include the #WhiteCard in the Award Ceremony protocol in many high level competitions within 2017 participating to the effort to spread the awareness of “APRIL 6” – the “International Day of Sport for Development and Peace” supporting the message that “Sport can have an impact into peace”.
