INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND ADVOCACY COORDINATOR

Peace and Sport raises awareness through numerous campaigns and mobilizes decision-makers from major national and international institutions to promote the use of sport as a tool for inclusion, social cohesion, and positive community transformation.

Mission:

Under the supervision of the International Relations and Advocacy Manager, the Coordinator supports the implementation of Peace and Sport’s advocacy strategy by contributing to the development of advocacy content, strengthening institutional relationships, and promoting the organization’s positioning at the international level.

Main Tasks:

1/ Development of advocacy content:

– Monitor international policy developments relevant to Sport for Development and Peace
– Conduct research and compile evidence to support Peace and Sport’s advocacy positions
– Support the drafting of advocacy materials including: background notes, policy papers, leadership statements

2/ Dissemination of advocacy messages

– Monitor international agendas related to sport, peace, sustainable development, and international cooperation
– Support Peace and Sport’s participation in conferences, forums, and other high-level events
– Participate in the preparation of briefing notes, talking points, speeches and presentations
– Contribute to identify and mobilize contributors for Peace and Sport’s conferences, workshops and advocacy events

3/ International Relations

– Maintain and update stakeholder mapping and institutional database
– Support the development and maintenance of relationships with institutional partners and key stakeholders
– Prepare meeting briefs and supporting documentation, and monitor partnership deliverables and follow-up actions

Profile :

Education and Experience

– Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy or related field
– Excellent written and spoken English and French
– Proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Canva
– Previous experience in advocacy campaigns is an asset
– Strong interest in drafting policy papers and strategic briefs

Skills

– Strong strategic analysis and writing skills
– Excellent research and synthesis abilities
–  Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
– Dynamism, autonomy, and adaptability

Conditions:

Be a student under 26 years old / Have a University Internship Agreement / French resident permit for non-EU Citizens

COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER

Peace and Sport is an international, neutral and independent organisation based in Monaco, which promotes peace through the power of sport. Founded in 2007 by Joël Bouzou, Olympic medallist and world champion in modern pentathlon, Peace and Sport operates under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. The organisation calls on international decision-makers to make deliberate use of sport as a tool for conveying the values of peace, drawing on its universality, its Champions of Peace and those working on the ground.

Mission:

Under the supervision of the Events and Communications Manager, the Communications Officer’s main role will be to promote and raise awareness of Peace and Sport’s advocacy work, strengthening its position as a leading organisation in promoting sport as a tool for building a culture of peace:

1. Editorial Strategy & Public Outreach

– Translate and simplify strategic content (advocacy materials, public statements, studies, interviews) to make it accessible to a wide range of audiences.

– Define and structure a clear, consistent and impactful editorial line, tailored to the organisation’s objectives.

– Design and develop innovative and engaging formats (interviews, opinion pieces, video clips, magazines, newsletters) to highlight key messages.

2. Social Media Strategy & Digital Innovation

– Develop and implement an innovative social media strategy aligned with advocacy priorities

– Develop engaging formats tailored to different platforms

– Monitor performance, analyse KPIs and propose optimisations

– Carry out strategic and creative monitoring

– Design engaging formats tailored to the specific characteristics of each platform.

– Monitor performance, analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose optimisations.

3. Content creation, coordination & digital development

– Oversee content production focusing on:

· advocacy priorities

· international events

· awareness campaigns (e.g. #WhiteCard)

– Contribute to the redesign and development of Peace and Sport’s digital presence

– Ensure consistency of editorial and visual identity across all platforms

– Contribute to improving the user experience and digital storytelling

Desired skills and experience:

Education: a four- or five-year degree in communications, international relations, digital marketing or a related field.

Experience: 4 to 6 years’ proven experience in institutional, international or advocacy communications, ideally gained abroad within an international organisation or a public affairs department.
Languages: Fluent in English and French; Spanish would be an advantage.

Writing skills: Excellent writing and translation skills in French and English (clear, concise writing tailored to different audiences and formats).

Thematic awareness: strong understanding of international issues, as well as the links between sport and diplomacy. A degree in political science would be an advantage.

Personal qualities: creativity, independence, organisational skills, rigour, analytical ability and strategic thinking to design high-impact campaigns.

Technical skills:
· Proficiency in digital tools and social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube…

· Excellent proficiency in design/editing tools: Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut or equivalent

· Use of analytics/monitoring tools and web development: Google Analytics, social listening tools, WordPress
