A collective effort by the Principality of Monaco for the #WhiteCard 2026 campaign

To mark the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, celebrated on April 6, the Principality of Monaco is rallying behind the #WhiteCard 2026 campaign, led by Peace and Sport, reaffirming its commitment to peace through sport.

An official launch in Monaco attended by institutions and officials 

On March 25, the campaign was officially launched by Joël Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, Patron of Peace and Sport, H.E. the Minister of State, the President of the National Council, the Secretary of State, the Mayor, the Deputy Chairman of the SBM, and the President of the MEB, as well as representatives of Monegasque institutions and local sports figures. This institutional highlight marks the launch of a campaign illustrating the Principality’s commitment to peace, inclusion, and dialogue through sport.

Advocacy at the United Nations

On April 1 in New York, the Permanent Mission of Monaco to the United Nations co-organized an event dedicated to International Women’s Day with UNDESA, UN Women, and the Mission of Qatar.
The event featured opening remarks by H.E. Ms. Picco, Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations, and a speech by Julian Jeang-Agliardi, Junior Champion for Peace, who shared his experience and provided a concrete example of the impact of sports on his personal journey.

Engagement of Monaco’s Sports Community

The momentum continues in the Principality with the involvement of numerous local clubs and sports organizations, including:

Monaco United WFC, on April 5, during the Mediterranean Cup semifinal between Monaco United and Hyères, players from both teams will participate in a symbolic #WhiteCard photo;

The Roca Team on April 8 will dedicate its match against Villeurbanne to the campaign, with public awareness activities about Peace and Sport and the campaign.

Several athletes are also lending their support to the initiative, including local Champions for Peace, Antoine Zeghdar, Valentin Vacherot, Saskia Clark, Marco Simone, Pierre Frolla, Maxime Nochet, and Anastasia Nielsen…
