Sanlam Cape Town Marathon

Launched in 2007, the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon has quickly become one of the biggest marathons of Africa. Supported by Elena Meyer, Champion for Peace and Olympic Medalist, and François Pienaar, captain of the Springboks, World Champion in 1995, this event wishes to join the “World Marathon Series” in the coming years.

An historical Marathon in an exceptional setting

Organized the week of the South African Heritage Day and the International Day of Peace, the route has been designed to showcase the historical sites of the South African’s “mother city”.

I Move for Peace!

Peace and Sport offers bibs to the sportsmen wishing to combine this sporting challenge with a charitable cause.
You don’t know anything about fundraising? No worries, Peace and Sport will help you!

Where the funds will be allocated?

All the funds raised will be allocated to the field project: “Rugby in Malagasy Land”.  This project developed by Champion for Peace and former French Rugby Captain, Jef Tordo aims to help youth creating social link and developing self-confidence through sport.
