Peace and Sport launches Act for What Matters

Jun 8, 2016 | News

Peace and Sport is launching Act for What Matters, a call to collect new or existing peace through sport projects via the organization’s website: www.peace-sport.org.

Peace and Sport aims to find as many as possible existing and potential new projects, to encourage and engage stakeholders that use sport as a tool for peace with a meaningful and positive impact around the world.

Field actors will be able to send their applications until August 31. All applications will then be evaluated by a Jury committee, and the selected field programs will be announced during the next Peace and Sport International Forum, held in Monaco from 23 to 25 November 2016. The successful field actors will become partners with Peace and Sport for the coordination of the project implementation within 2 years.

“With the launch of Act for What Matters, we hope to receive an important range of projects from different spectrums on diverse peace issues. Peace and Sport would like to cooperate with field actors running projects all over the world to mobilize global change through sport” said Joël Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport.
