Peace and Sport, institutional partner of the Global Sports Week

Peace and Sport, international organization and leader in the peace-through-sport movement, has teamed up with Global Sports Week. Peace and Sport will provide analysis on the international context and will highlight the need for concrete action and the importance of measuring the impact of actions implemented in the field. Several months after the digitalization of its Methodology through a Mobile App, in cooperation with MyCoach, Peace and Sport will provide turnkey solutions to international and business actors.

This partnership will be structured around three axes:

– The Vice-President of Peace and Sport – football legend Didier Drogba – will sit on the panel in a session entitled “From Children to Citizens: The Place Of Sport In Education” which takes place on 3 February from 10:00 – 10:45 am. The panel will notably include Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO, Marie Barsacq, Director Impact & Legacy at Paris 2024, and will be moderated by the sport journalist Anne-Laure Bonnet.

Didier Drogba, Vice President of Peace and Sport, said:

“Global Sports Week is an indispensable event for major players in the international sports ecosystem and, as a leader in peace through sport, it was natural for Peace and Sport to become a partner of the event. In this period of unprecedented upheaval, it is fundamental to bring together stakeholders in sport, business and society to tackle major international issues and introduce new perspectives. Peace and Sport is committed on a daily basis to providing solutions through sport and supports private sector actors in their CSR approach, as evidenced by various partnerships”.

– The Peace and Sport workshop entitled “CSR: A significant benefit for society and business?” will be held on 2 February from 3 – 4 pm. This workshop explores the powerful role of sport in a business perspective, and highlights solutions that an international organization such as Peace and Sport can bring to the private sector, with an expertise using sport as a tool for peace. The speakers will be Laurent Dupont, CEO of Peace and Sport, Thomas de Pariente, Development Director of MyCoach, Milos Krivokapic, Executive Director at Zepter International and Charlotte Autant, Marketing Manager at Peace and Sport.

– Meetings and networking sessions will take place throughout the event. On the other hand, the virtual Peace and Sport booth will be accessible in the Global Sports Week marketplace. It will have information about the Organization’s vision and missions, as well as turnkey solutions for all the participants of the event.
