2020 PEACE AND SPORT AWARDS: Announcement of the winner in the “Innovative Action of the Year” category!

The NGO TIBU-Maroc’s “Sa7ti Friyadti” Program the is the New Winner of the “Innovative Action of the Year” Award!

Acting in 14 cities in Morocco, TIBU Maroc uses the power of sport to create innovative social welfare solutions in the field of education, empowerment and socio-economic inclusion.

The “Sa7ti Friyadti” (empowerment through sport) program offers distance learning in sport and helps to improve education for thousands of young people from disadvantaged communities. The program includes a guide focused on nutrition, physical activities and mental health support. Its content is transmitted through online tools that enables direct interaction with beneficiaries and their families up to 3 times a week.

Joël Bouzou, President and Founder of Peace and Sport, stated:

Their “Sa7ti Friyadti” program, based on the use of new technologies,  has made it possible to transmit innovative educational content throughout the health crisis, thus encouraging young people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The “Innovative Action of the Year” category rewards an individual or an organization that uses new technologies or develops innovative means to promote sport as a tool for sustainable peace, education and social development. The nominees for the 2020 edition were TIBU Maroc, the International Federation of SAMBO and FLAG21.
