When I created my Karate club in Besançon, my objective was to create a place where the values of sport could be shared with future generations in order to support young people in achieving their dreams. As a Champion for Peace, I will pursue my commitment to the development of education through sport.
Fode Ndao was born in a Karateka family and trained in Senegal, at the ‘Guédiawaye Savety Centre’. A true legend, he represents sporting success par excellence in his country.
He came to France in 1997 to continue his studies and finish his training. He won many African Champion titles and the silver medal at the World Championships.
Since his career finished, Fodé has been committed on a daily level to promoting cohesion, communication and the practice of his sport in France and Senegal. A high-level manager and coach of the Senegalese Karate team, he has put the nation back at the top of the African ladder.
At the same time, he has opened a club in Besançon, France and helps many inner-city youngsters to become empowered, acquire fundamental values and self-confidence through Karate. He’s a WKF international certified coach.
After competing in the 9th friendship games in Bujumbura in Burundi for Peace and Sport and the International Karate Federation, he joined the Champions for Peace club to pass on his experience and joie de vivre.
