We can also say that peace is not only the absence of war, but a well-balanced state with ourselves, with our community, with neighbouring nations and wherever reigns a culture of tolerance and dialogue”.
"Through its power to attract, mobilize and inspire individuals, communities and nations, sport helps us promote the ideas of peace, tolerance, justice, non-violence and solidarity" declared the President of Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), H.E. Gjorge Ivanov. "Sport promotes reconciliation, especially in multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-lingual societies. Sustainable peace and development implies a world with responsible individuals as part of responsible societies that encourage pro-active behaviour.”
