PokerStars.fr is hosting a poker tournament on 21 November to benefit Peace and Sport

Monaco, 15 November 2012 – Poker star and Champion for Peace, Bertrand Grospellier - aka ElkY – will challenge users on 21 November in an exceptional tournament to benefit ‘Peace and Sport L’Organisation pour la Paix par le Sport’. The tournament will begin at 8pm on the website PokerStars.fr
For each registered player, ElkY will donate €1 to the organization to finance its field projects. In addition, the website is waiving the €1 registration fee, which will be refunded to the players to use a as stake.
ElkY said: "I agreed to become a Champion for Peace because I am convinced that sport is a great tool for peace. I invite all those involved in the peace through sport movement to rise to the challenge that I’ve launched on PokerStars.fr. The funds raised will be donated to Peace and Sport and will make a real difference on the ground, where sport is most useful.”

ElkY has joined the dynamic team of international athletes called ‘Champions for Peace’ who have pledged to support some of the most disadvantaged communities through sport. His initiative is to raise funds to finance projects that Peace and Sport is currently involved in in 8 countries (Burundi, Colombia, Côte d'Ivoire, Haiti, Israel/Palestine, Democratic Republic of Congo and Timor-Leste).
