Under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the “Peace and Sport” Annual Forum is designed to work on the concrete development of peace through sport around the world.
The “Peace and Sport” Forum is a unique international gathering which enables the highest authorities from the world of politics, sport and from economic and civilian life to discuss a common issue: how can sport help to reconcile divided communities and get them to tolerate their differences?
It brings together heads of states and governments, representatives from world sport governance bodies (the International Olympic Committee, International Federations, National Olympic Committees), the World Olympians Association, strategic and financial partners, sport experts, and NGOs.
The International Forum Peace and Sport has undergone a growing success since its inception in 2007: no less than 330 leading personalities took part in debates during its last edition.
A privileged meeting place, the Forum enables:
- Information exchange, to secure the adequacy between the needs identified by governments and the solutions brought by actors from the world of sport
- Identification of future Locally-Based Projects
- Presentation of best practices
- Updates on projects in progress
- An active network to be developed
- Emergencies to be addressed
