Run under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and delegates, the “Peace
and Sport” Annual Forum was designed to concretely work on
the development of peace through sport around the world.
The “Peace and Sport” Forum is a unique international
gathering which enables the world highest political, sportive and
economic authorities to discuss a common issue: how can sport
help connecting communities and getting them to tolerate their differences?
It brings together heads of states and governments, representatives
of world sport governance (the International Olympic Committee, International
Federations, National Olympic Committees), the World Olympians Association,
strategic and financial partners, sport experts, and NGOs.
Privileged place of convergence, the Forum enables to:
- Facilitate exchanges, to secure the adequacy between the needs
identified by governments and the solutions brought by the sport's
world actors
- List and identify future Locally-Based Projects
- Present best practice case studies
- Report on ongoing projects
- Develop an active network
- Handle and address emergencies
