The Peace and Sport Founding Forum took place in Monaco from 3 – 5 December 2007.
It brought together 150 participants:

Highlights of Forum 2007:

A world first: "The most comprehensive Forum" ever organized on the subject of peace through sport (HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco in his closing speech)

The memorable handshake between His Excellency Mr. Manuel Hassassian, Palestinian ambassador to Britain, and Mr. Galeb Majadle, Minister of Culture, Sports and Science of Israel, providing "concrete evidence that sport can bring about better understanding and break down prejudices”.

The appointment of the first International Ambassadors for Peace and Sport: Adolf Ogi, former President of the Swiss Confederation, a member of the Board of Directors of Right To Play, Mario Pescante, President of the International Relations Committee of the International Olympic Committee, HRH Prince Nawaf Faisal Fahd Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, member of the International Olympic Committee and Hicham El Guerrouj, Olympic Champion and member of the International Olympic Committee.
