Dick Fosbury was an American specialist in the high jump. An Olympic champion, Dick Fosbury became famous by popularizing the ‘Fosbury flop’ which is still the preferred technique for high-jumpers. Despite the difficulties he faced, Dick Fosbury remained true to his beliefs and resisted stereotypes and prejudices. These are the values that he wished to pass on as a Champion for Peace.
