The athletes have a big responsability on their shoulders. As Champions for Peace we need to keep moving and keep our spirit


The youngest athlete to compete in the Athens Olympics, Aya Medany has won over 20 international medals along her career. Now that she’s a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission, she shares her experience with as many people as possible. She testifies  particularly about the main  obstacles she has experienced during her career: reconciling sports practice and Muslim faith.

ZA’ATARI REFUGEE CAMP

Peace and Sport celebrates the international day of sport for development and peace in the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan.

Peace and Sport – the politically-neutral organization which promotes sport as a tool for peace – was at Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan to celebrate “APRIL6”, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. In association with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Jordanian National Olympic Committee (NOC), Peace and Sport organized many sports and cultural activities for young refugees which were led by Champions For Peace.
